Iris Louise Johansen, aged 77, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026. A lifelong Coloradan, Iris was born in Denver and spent more than 40 years building a beautiful life and home in Littleton.
Iris was a woman of vibrant energy, sharp wit, and entrepreneurial spirit. Alongside her beloved husband, Jim, she co-owned and operated their independent insurance agency. Together, they served their community for 50 successful years before retiring, a remarkable testament to their partnership in both life and business. Her customers absolutely adored her; Iris loved them dearly and worked tirelessly to help them immensely through every stage of life. She was a master of her craft, a generous mentor, and an incredible role model.
Beyond her professional achievements, Iris was a creative soul. She had a passion for painting and decorating, always finding ways to bring beauty into the world around her. She had a deep love for music and a legendary sense of humor. Iris loved to joke around, and her quick wit and laughter could easily brighten any room.
Iris’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of many years, Jim Johansen.
She leaves behind her children, Ashley Johansen, Skyler Johansen, Jacqueline Johansen, Bonnie Bischoff, and Kristine Schamp. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Cassandra Calvaresi, Rayce Calvaresi II, Jordan Calvaresi, Joslyn Calvaresi, Giovani Calvaresi, Tyler Bischoff, Jessica Holloway, Jonathan Schamp, Elizabeth Schamp, and Rebecca Leeret; and her beloved great-grandchildren, NyahLee Calvaresi, Trey Calvaresi, Hayley Holloway, and Anna Kate Holloway.
Iris was preceded in death by her beloved son, Rayce Calvaresi.
A service to celebrate Iris’s life and legacy will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the following location:
