Irving James "Jim" Mondragon , 55, of Denver, passed away April 8, 2016.
He was born June 4, 1960 in Alamosa, Colorado, the son of Conrad and Elva (Maestas) Mondragon.
He was a graduate of Bear Creek High School.
Jim was a member of the American Legion.
Jim enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing pool, target practicing, going to concerts and listening to music. He also enjoyed swimming. He had a soft spot for his cats and all animals. Jim was also an artist and made jewelry. He collected skulls and Native American artifacts, artwork, and jewelry. He will be remembered as a very outgoing person who never met a stranger. Everyone always had a good thing to say about him. Family was important to him and he took pride in taking care of his parents. His sense of humor stayed with him even through his last days at the hospital. He was also an avid Denver Broncos fan. Jim also had very long hair and enjoyed having it braided by his daughter Shawn and his mother Elva.
Irving is survived by Daughter, Shawn B. Mondragon; Son, Dylan J. Mondragon; Father, Conrad Mondragon; Mother, Elva Mondragon; Brother, Bryan Angelo Mondragon (Patricia Cabello) and Grandmother, Flora Maestas.
