Ivan Marcus "Butch" Johnson, 75, of Lakewood, passed away January 12, 2017.
He was born April 24, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Aaron and Minerva (Westberg) Johnson.
Ivan was a graduate of Lane Tech High School.
He honorably served in the US Coast Guard during Vietnam.
He was a member of IBEW Local 68, the American Legion and the Swedish Club of Denver.
In October 1970, he married Judith Brown.
Ivan enjoyed gardening. He also cherished the time that he spent with his grandchildren.
Ivan is survived by his loving wife, Judith Johnson; son, Eric (Jennifer) Johnson; daughter, IngaLisa (Douglas) Pardieck; four grandchildren, Abigail Johnson, Cole Johnson, McKenna Pardieck and Talon Pardieck; sister, Jeanette (Donald) Mellskog; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents, Aaron Marcus and Minerva Emma Johnson and brother, Erland Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Denver Rescue Mission.
