Jack E. Segrest, 82, of Aurora, passed away August 17, 2015.
He was born March 30, 1933 in Charleston, South Carolina, the son of Aurelius and Phosa (Cobia) Segrest. On December 8, 1951 he married Gail Segrest, of Dorchester, Mass.
Jack is survived by three daughters, Gail Loraine Segrest, Brenda Ann Dobson, and Jacqueline Lynn (Cheryl A.) Segrest; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-granchildren; and brother, William Segrest of Ozark, AL; two sisters-in-law, Joan O'Brien of Sturbridge, Mass. and Cathy Thyne of CA; 2 brothers-in-law, Brendan O'Brien of Sturbridge, Mass. and John Thyne Jr. of CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gail Lorraine Segrest; parents, Aurelius Augustus and Phosa Estelle Segrest and 7 siblings.
Jack proudly served in the Air Force for 30 years. He was a Department of Defense Police Officer and he did various security work. He was very passionate about his family. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, extensive RV traveling, intarsia wood working, stained glass and world traveling.
