Denver / Fort Logan Cemetery — James Edward McDonald , 79, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Skilled Nursing Facility located in Broomfield, Colorado following 3 months of being hospitalized for Congestive Heart Failure.
He follows his wife Arlene McDonald of 25 years of marriage, and is survived by his Children James, Linda, Gerald, Debra, Patrick, Charles, Darla, and numerous Grandchildren.
Born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota, he is the son of James and Elizabeth McDonald, and brother to Michael McDonald of Kerrick, Mn, Carolyn Bloomst of St. Paul, MN, and Donna Bun-ker of Duluth, MN.and has joined all but one in Eternity, Donna Mae Bunker.
In his early years, Mr. McDonald attended Denfield High School in Duluth, MN, after which he entered into the U.S. Air Force during the time of the Korean conflict. After his time in the ser-vice, Mr. McDonald was the sole proprietor of two Service Stations in Duluth, MN. He would eventually move his family to Colorado where he obtained a job at the Coors Brewing Company in Golden, Colorado where he worked of number of years. After his time at Coors, Mr. McDon-ald owned his own trucking company which he ran with his sons James and Patrick.
Mr. McDonald enjoyed traveling and experiencing Colorado, as well as visiting the Casinos in Black Hawk and Central City, Colorado.
