James Gary Wilkes

James Gary Wilkes , 90, of Aurora, passed away peacefully September 3, 2015.

He was born October 9, 1924 in Dillon, South Carolina, the son of
William and Blanche (McLalan) Wilkes.

James married his wife, Dorothy, October 6, 1945. He was in the US
Army for 20 years as a Chief Warrant Officer, taking his family all
over the world. James was a member of the American Legion and the NRA.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and taking motorcycle
trips with his wife.

James is survived by Son, James G. Wilkes, III; grandchildren Jason
Wilkes, Jennifer Bond, and Joanna Silva; and great-grandchildren Kevin
Silva, Sean Silva, Luke Silva, Emma Bond, and Ethan Bond; Sisters,
Agnes and June; Brother, Earl. He is preceded in death by Wife,
Dorothy Lucinda Wilkes, Father, William Jeffie Wilkes, Mother, Blanche
Mae Wilkes.
