In loving memory of James "Jim" Edward Lacey 1937-2022
Jim Lacey of Littleton, CO died on August 21, 2022 at the age of 84 after a brief illness. He was a Colorado Native, born in Denver on October 5, 1937, the youngest child of John B. and Catherine W. (Prendergast) Lacey. He was educated at CU Boulder as a mechanical engineer, working for the Bureau of Reclamation at the Federal Center until he retired.
He is survived by his son, Brian (Sarah) Lacey; daughter, Deanna (Chris) Lacey; stepdaughter, Jeanette (Tom) Cole; first wife, LuJean Costello; two nephews, David and Chris Moline; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Lacey; his parents; sisters, Jane Lacey and Dorothy Moline; brother, John; stepsons, Rich and Bob Davis and nephew Michael Moline. He will always be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
Jim was proud of his alma mater and a big CU Buffs fan. He loved fishing, baseball and watching The Big Bang Theory. He was such a gracious person, and the world is a sadder place with him gone. He will be truly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, September 3, 2022 at New Life Church, 1380 Ammons St, Lakewood, CO 80214.
