Born on May 18, 1983, in Denver, Colorado, James was not just a name, but a testament to the strength of character, an embodiment of determination woven intricately with honesty.

His career was marked by an unwavering work ethic, predominantly anchored in management, where he showcased his ability to lead and inspire those around him. James had an artist's soul—as a young man, he attended Metro State, diligently working towards a degree in art that showcased his profound creativity. Early in his artistic journey, he achieved recognition beyond his years, winning an award for his artwork, surpassing even the talents of older artists. This early success became a cornerstone of pride in a life that would be filled with accomplishments, not just professionally but personally as well.

Beyond his work, James was often affectionately referred to as "Dr. Doolittle" by his family, a nickname born out of his unique kindness towards animals. When he was younger he would feed and converse with the squirrels as if they were friends sharing secrets, and he wore the title of father to his sons, Jordan and Donte, like a badge of honor. His love for them transcended all else, and they were, without a doubt, the heart of his existence.

Among his many passions, James was an avid gamer, a lover of all things Star Wars and Marvel, and he found joy in the complex world of puzzles and the creativity offered by Legos. James is survived by his beloved mother, Charlene, who shared her life with Jose; his brother Joseph; his loving sons, Jordan and Donte; his godmother Rose; his uncle Angel; and his cherished niece Xochitl. He was preceded in death by his father, James Sr., his sister, Charmaine, His grandparents Jesus and Nellie Rodriquez, and Gil and Christine Ortiz, whose love will forever echo in the memories held dear by those who loved him.
