The Final Flight on Earth
Don't grieve for me, for now I am free. I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard His call; I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to build, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I've found that peace at the end of the day.
If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. Ah, yes, these things too I will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I've savored much, good family, good times, a loved ones touch.
My time has come, do not be sad, I am ready, rejoice, be glad. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free!
Jim was preceded in home going by his sister Kathy Ann, his sister Eileen, and his father Ernst. He will be lovingly missed by, Gervella, his wife of 21 years and partner for 25; his mother Kathe, his son Brandon--called Alex, his grandson Bradley, his brother Paul, and his stepson Jared, as well as, many others.
Jim loved flying; he said it made him feel closer to God. In his early adulthood, he flew a hang glider, and later in life he flew small engine planes, his trike and his gyrocopter. Now that Jim is present with the Lord, (2 Corinthians 5:8) he can soar as high and as far as he wants. And see more beautiful and spectacular things, than anything we can imagine. 1 John 3:2 / Psalm 57:1 / and Psalm 91:4
I love you my baby, kiss Jesus for me.
