James R. Clark, 84, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026. He was born on July 13, 1942, and lived a life marked by family, laughter, and a genuine love for the people around him.
James was a happy, outgoing, and charismatic man who had a way of making people feel welcome. He was knowledgeable, encouraging, and supportive, always willing to listen, offer advice, lend a hand, or simply be there when someone needed him. His understanding touched the lives of many, and he will be remembered especially for his generous heart and his unwavering presence for family and friends.
James retired from a career in banking security and safes. Outside of work, he enjoyed baseball, hunting, camping, tinkering, and, of course, trying his luck with the lottery. He loved to joke and was known for his playful tricks and good-natured sense of humor. His laughter and ability to bring joy to those around him created memories that his loved ones will cherish for years to come.
Family was at the heart of James's life. He is survived by his children, James R. Clark, Teresa Halliwell (Jim), James A. Clark, and Suzanna M. Johnson (Danny); his 10 grandchildren; and his 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Elaine Griffith and Margaret Arfsten (Dick), Sister-in-Law, Carol Clark and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Angelina Marie Clark; father, James Clark JR; and brother Michael “Mickey” Clark.
Those who knew James will remember his quick wit, his jokes and tricks, his encouraging words, and, most of all, the way he was there for people. His love, laughter, faith, and generous spirit will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May he rest in eternal peace in the loving presence of God.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to Colorado Parks and Wildlife and/or NRA in memory of James Clark.
