Listen to Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that we announce the passing of James Allen Sinkiewicz, affectionately known as Jamie, who left us unexpectedly on April 23, 2026, in Buckeye, Arizona. Born on July 7, 1958, in Dover, Delaware, Jamie's remarkable journey was marked by dedication, humility, and an insatiable curiosity that touched all who knew him.

On March 13, 2026, Jamie underwent a double lung transplant. He recovered remarkably quickly, spending just five weeks in the hospital. Sadly, he passed away one week after being discharged from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix due to complications from the surgery. In that final week, he experienced immense joy—laughing, connecting, and making plans with his family.

In 1976, at the age of 18, Jamie enlisted in the United States Navy. Over the course of the next two decades, he rose from the enlisted ranks to eventually retire in 1996 as a Lieutenant Commander. Among the select few of his class, his exceptional intellect earned him a place in officer candidate school, and he went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Business Administration through the Navy.

He served valiantly aboard numerous naval ships, his career spanning multiple conflicts, including the Gulf War. Jamie's legacy in the military was one of distinguished service, leadership, and steadfast commitment to his country.

Following his retirement from the Navy, Jamie embarked on a new chapter by founding JSCS Computer Solutions, specializing in computer networking for large corporations. For the next twenty years, he applied the same precision and innovation that marked his military career to his entrepreneurial ventures.

His technological savvy did not end with business; he was an avid learner, deeply interested in cryptocurrency, always exploring the cutting edge of technology with a welcoming and humble spirit.

Jamie was a beloved husband to his wife of 41 years, Nancy-Jo (née Bianchi), with whom he built their dream home on seven sprawling acres in Murrieta, California. The couple's home was a hub of warmth, where they frequently hosted gatherings filled with laughter. His passion for the finer things in life was also evident in his expertise as a sommelier and wine enthusiast, particularly his love for a good Cabernet Sauvignon. In retirement, they moved to Buckeye, Arizona, where they enjoyed traveling and hosting loved ones.

Family was at the heart of Jamie’s life. He was a devoted father to his four sons—Nicholas, Justin (Jessica), Joseph (Jennifer), and Jeffrey (Hailey) Sinkiewicz. A proud grandfather to Kiana, James, Jasper, Joni, June, Journey, and Jade. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Trenton. His kindness extended to his siblings, Brother Kelly (Vickie) Sinkiewicz and sister Sharon (Bruce) Voparil, who survive him alongside his immediate family.

Jamie was preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine (née Ritchey) and Richard Sinkiewicz, as well as his brothers Anthony and Richard Sinkiewicz.

James’ life was a shining example of integrity, intelligence, and genuine kindness. He welcomed everyone with open arms; he was always curious and eager to share and learn. His enduring pride lay in his family and his service to his nation, the very fabric of the man he was.

A graveside service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado, on May 7, 2026, at 12:30 PM, where we will gather to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of James Allen Sinkiewicz.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests donations in kind to the charity organization Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Though Jamie's presence has left a void, the love he so freely gave and the memories he created will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate to know him. His story is one of quiet strength and boundless generosity, a legacy that will endure forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
