Jane Steenhoek

Jane Ann Steenhoek, 71, was called home to heaven on Sunday, January 5th, 2014.

Jane was born to the late Cornie and Wilhelmina Schuring, March 26th 1942, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She married Ken Steenhoek in 1962, and they spent a majority of their years together in the metro Denver area, before retiring to her dream cabin nestled among the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Bailey, Colorado.

Jane was passionate about children, and dedicated her life to loving not only her own, but the foster children in the community as well. When each grandchild arrived in the world, it only renewed the focus of her love.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Cornie and Wilhelmina Schuring, and her daughter in law, Kimberly Steenhoek.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband Ken Steenhoek, her brother Norm (Betty) Schuring, of Sully Iowa; her sister Betty (Martin) Vander Molen, of Sully Iowa, and three children: Julie Ann Steenhoek, of Highlands Ranch, CO; Kurt William Steenhoek, of Centennial, CO; and Darren Corie (Jamelyn) Steenhoek, of Highlands Ranch, CO. She is also survived by ten cherished grandchildren: Jonathan, Kaylynn, Kory, Annie, Nicholas, Joshua, Elena, Hayley, Alexander, and Gerrit.

Jane was not one to say goodbye, preferring instead a light "see you later." Jane's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony by a small circle of close family and friends, who will bid her "See you later."
