Janice Fay Alexander

November 21, 1941 — August 29, 2016

Janice Fay Alexander

In the late evening of Monday, August 29, 2016, Janice Alexander surrounded by family, left her home in Littleton, Colorado to be with our Lord. Janice was 74 years old.

Janice Alexander was born in Denver, Colorado November 21, 1941. She was the sixth child and second daughter, of Wilma (Jessen) and Laurence Miller.

Janice and seven other siblings grew up on Tenth and Irving Street in Denver, Colorado. As part of such a large family, Janice learned early the importance of helping one another. She cherished her brothers and sisters dearly and continually spoke of them.

Janice, a graduate of West High School in Denver, Colorado, began her career at Mountain Bell phone company, this was a major accomplishment in her day. Janice loved her job, but a change was soon to come when she met Frank Alexander looking up at her from the Delmar Parkway Apartments. It was a failed refrigerator that broke the ice and shortly after Janice "thought about it", the two were set to be married. On March 31, 1972, Janice and Frank were married in Denver.

Thrilled to be starting a family, Janice left Mountain Bell in 1973. To her coworkers' disbelief Janice in fact, would never return.

While raising three children, Janice found additional careers which complimented her life's direction. She was an Avon and Tupperware sales rep. Each of these careers allowed Janice to reach many people, touching their lives in numerous ways. This also afforded the time to help her mother, extended family and friends, cooking, cleaning, listening, praying and much more. Janice belonged to a bowling league as well and was a fantastic bowler, having won multiple league championships over the years.

As Janice realized her children needed less of her time she began a new career in 1991 at Albertsons in Littleton, Colorado. She wore several hats at Albertsons and enjoyed each, as all of them allowed her direct interaction with people. Mothers' real title at Albertsons could be described as Friend, Helper, Listener, Fisher of men and more. Janice talked to everyone and loved as Jesus did. Janice nearly lived out her wish of working until she dies, as she retired in June of 2016.

Janice was a devoted and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and neighbor. She lived to engage others, share Gods word and love. She has been blessed with three healthy children and 6 grandchildren. Janice was rightfully proud of her and Frank's accomplishments in Jesus name and shared this frequently. She especially loved her kids and grandchildren, always on her mind!

Gods will be done! She was an avid contributor to the church, Feed the Children, Veterans of America and so many others. She gave freely of herself and her time, brought people to Jesus and improved the lives of many through Prayer, Friendship, and LOVE.

Janice was preceded in death by Father, Laurence B. Miller, Sr., Mother, Wilma Miller, Sister, Elinore Fester and Two Brothers, Laurence Miller, Jr., and Elmer Miller.

Janice is survived by Loving Husband of 44 years, Frank Alexander, Children, Trisha Alexander, Todd (Kimberlee) Alexander, and Tyler (Julia) Alexander; Six Grandchildren, Kyle, Quincy, Cora, Gracelyn, Mason and Brooke Alexander; Sister, Wilma (Denny) Davis; Three Brothers, Donald Miller, Wendel (Arlene) Miller, Roger (Ludene) Miller; Many nieces and nephews; Two Sisters-In-Laws, Lillian Miller and Joyce Miller, and Brother-In-Law, Dale Fester.

Though our hearts are broken by the loss of Janice, we are not to argue the WILL of GOD. Janice is already hard at work in our GODS Kingdom, celebrating with others we have lost. It is by FAITH she has made that transition and the same FAITH ensures our futures together in CHRIST.

Janice Fay Alexander: Loyal & Faithful Servant 1941-2016 will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery 4400 W. Kenyon Ave. Denver, CO 80236.

A Special Thanks to all of you that have helped Janice through life and her recent struggles - May God Bless you forever. Know that she was thankful and truly blessed to have known you.
