Janice Lynn Smith, 59, of Aurora, passed away on December 19, 2016.
She was born to John and Carol Smith, on July 9, 1957 in Buffalo, NY. Janice was first of four children in the Smith household.
Janice graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1975. She continued her education at Arapahoe Community College, receiving a degree as a Medical Lab Technician. Upon graduation Janice immediately went to work for Kaiser Permanente, where she moved up to her present position as Senior Laboratory Informatics Specialist. She served at Kaiser for 39 years.
Her greatest loves were family and her pets. She loved spending time with her mom and sister at BINGO. Taking yearly family trips to Vegas was a joy for Janice, as they would play the slots, BINGO, go to shows and laugh together.
Janice was an avid reader, she enjoyed mysteries in particular, but would read almost anything. She loved chilling with her cats at home in the evenings and curling up with a good book.
Janice is survived by her mother, Carol Smith (Jerry Kelley) from Aurora, CO and Sun City, AZ, brother, John Smith II of Denver, brother, Ronald Smith (Valarie) and nephews Drew and Brandon of Massachusetts and Joanne Smith (Scott Kissel) of Aurora.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, John Smith.
In lieu of flowers Janice wished for memorials her memory to the Denver Dumb Friends League, 2080 S Quebec St, Denver, CO 80231.
