Margaret "Jean" Copeland passed on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 in Denver, Colorado at age 85.
She retired from the University of Denver after 30 years in 1996. Retired, Jean spent time assisting in care of her grandchildren during their school years. She cared for her great-granddaughter Jamie full time.
Jean was born in Golden, Colorado on January 17, 1931 to Ernest and Natalie Bell. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Copeland; sons, Daniel and David; sister, Mary Rathe, one grandchild, Sonya Moore and three sons-in-law, Ron, Joe, and Tim.
She is survived by four children, Patricia (Robert), Donna, Pamela and Donald (Cindy); one daughter-in-law, Vickie; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and siblings, William (Marie), Robert (Linda) and Joan (Bill).
Jean was known for her love of life, family and friends, her kindness and generosity. She was the go-to person for advice on life for her children and grandchildren.
