Jean Elizabeth (Woolley) Maddox, 93, died Friday May 30, 2014, at Mountain Vista Retirement Community home in Wheat Ridge.
She was born to the late Robert and Ethel Woolley, June 23, 1920, in Peoria, Illinois. She married the late Everett T. Maddox on February 20, 1943 who passed away November 26, 1998. They lived in Peoria, Illinois until July 1956, when Everett got transferred with Caterpillar in Denver. She was a homemaker and took care of many children mostly family.

I Love you Dear more than I can ever say. For my love travels in the strangest ways. I'm reminded of the song "Stand By Your Man", Lord only know how tall you've been. I know my Dear for I was there. Which makes this Valentine's Day one we'll share.

Jean is survived by 3 daughters: Jean (Ron) Shannon of Peoria, Illinois, Joy (Ron) Poucher of Coal Creek Canyon, Colorado and Deb Maddox of Lakewood, Colorado. She is survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ethel Woolley, brother Robert Woolley and 2 sisters Arvilla Johnson, Edith Taylor, 1 great granddaughter Courtney Scheuttler and her dog Buffy.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Colorado Parkinson Foundation, 1155 Kelly Johnson Blvd. Suite 111 Colorado Springs, Colorado 80920 or the animal shelter of your choice.
Private Service on June 3, 2014 at Olinger (Highland) Mortuary-Cemetery at 5:00 P.M.
