Jean Mary Estock, 96, of Denver, passed on to Eternal Life on Friday, June 26, 2026. She was born on October 1, 1929 during the Great Depression, to Mary and Lambert Hoffmann of Carroll, IA, married to Robert Allen Estock in 1953 in Carroll, IA.
Jean graduated from Loretto Heights College with a degree in English where she met her future husband at her senior year dance that neither of them wanted to attend, was a secretary for the USA Airforce at Buckley Field in Denver briefly before marrying Robert in 1953, settling down in Denver, CO to raise their four children, Susan (Bob Short) of Castle Rock, Cathie (David Harvey) of Denver, John a.k.a. Jack of Denver, and Mary (Frank Raker) of McCook, NE. Jean was an avid gardener, volunteer laundress of the Altar linens, volunteer on the funeral dinner committee at her Catholic Church, and a daily Communicant for 69 years.
She is survived by her children, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jack Hoffmann, and her husband of 60 years, Robert (Bob) Estock.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to All Saints Catholic Church for Masses to be celebrated for her soul.
A Rosary will be held at 9:00 am at All Saints Catholic Church on July 23, 2026, Thursday, followed by a Funeral Mass at All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will be at Fort Logan Cemetery following the Mass at 11:00 am.
