Jeanne A. Hughes
October 28, 1945 — September 20, 2015
Jeanne Hughes, 69, was born in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota and passed away in Aurora, CO on September 20, 2015, after battling cancer.
After graduating from Sleepy Eye High School in 1963, Jeanne attended Mankato State College, and then moved to San Francisco where she spent many years working as an Executive Assistant. She moved to Aurora, CO, where she continued to work and call Colorado home.
She was known to her many, many friends and family as a charming, witty and loving person who loved to travel, entertain, cheer on the Broncos, knit, and enjoy puzzles and games.
Jeanne is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Nancy Hughes, her sister and companion, Pat Hughes and Harry Fickett, her nieces, Allison Kateley and Heidi Hughes, and her nephew, David Kateley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Emory "Doc" Hughes.
The family suggests donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
