Jeanne L. Manning, 64 of Aurora Colorado died June 25, 2015.

Jeanne was born to Leona (Smith) and Donald Peterson, February 22, 1951 in Marysville, Ks.

She attended Aurora Central High School and graduated from Evergreen High School in 1969.

She was in accounting soon after high school and was last employed at Great West Life.

Jeanne fought a long and courageous battle with several bouts of cancer.

Jeanne's nick name was "Mean Jean" due to her mad skills at dominos, pool, and playing cards. She loved helping other people in any way she could. She also loved her pets. Her dogs Fuzz Button, and Spike were her greatest joy through the years.

Jeanne is survived by her mother, Leona C. Nelson, of Shawnee, CO, father, Donald W. Peterson, of Greeley, CO, brother, Michael W. Peterson, of Fairplay CO, and sister, Marci McGarvey, of Littleton, CO, stepsons, Charles Ray Manning, of Aurora, CO, and James Moore, of Aurora, CO, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Joe Peterson, step-father, Roy Nelson, step-mother Shirley Peterson, and sister-in-law, Ruth Peterson.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to your local Dumb Friends League.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on the 18th of July from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints, 950 Laredo St., Aurora, Co. 80011.
