Jeffrey Phillip Wickstrom, 35, Aurora, CO made his final lap in life on September 15, 2012. Jeff is survived by his daughter Haleigh Wickstrom, son Hayden Wickstrom, father Terry Wickstrom (Karen), mother Betty Jo Wickstrom, brother Kevin Wickstrom, brother Terry Wickstrom Jr
(Nicole), sister Tracy Wickstrom (Michael) stepbrother Steven Saltee, stepbrother Mark Saltee and several nieces and nephews.
Jeff was one of the most resourceful people you would have ever met. He used his talents to tinker, fix and create many things throughout his life. He spent a lot of his time working with anything that had an engine. He had a passion for motorsports that was second to none.
This passion was most evident in his love for Jeff Gordon. Jeff has been a die-hard fan of #24 for as long as we can remember. His easy going laid back life style took him in several directions and sometimes made him hard to track down. But one thing was for certain, if there was a NASCAR race on you could usually find him in front of the TV.
Jeff was a devoted and loving father. Although Crohn's disease restricted his ability to work in a field he loved, it allowed him the opportunity to spend more time with his children, Haleigh and Hayden. The extra time he was able to spend with them was a blessing.
As Jeff comes around turn 4 toward the checker flag of life, we hope you will all take some time, and reflect on the winning moments he shared with you.
