Jennie M. Burke

Jennie Marie Burke 1934-2012
77 of Denver, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2012, at home with her family by her side after a long and valiant battle with lung cancer.
She was born on October 25, 1934, in Boone, Iowa, to Frances and Ernest Trulin. She graduated from Boone High School, in 1952.
She married Roger Patrick Burke on April 29, 1956, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 2001.
She worked in the accounting department of Western Electric from 1964 to 1989, when she retired.
She worked at St. Therese Catholic School in the extended day care program from 2001 to 2011.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Jay O'Toole. Her granddaughter, Meghan Marie Dwyer, who was the "light of her life"; and her grandson, Sean (Dawn) O'Toole. Her sister, Norma (Harold) Hagge. Her brother-in-law, Joseph Burke. She is also survived by "The Girls", at the Eagles and the kids and co-workers at St. Therese School, where she loved working for the past 10 years. She preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her niece, Jane Marie Hagge; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Gretchen Burke; and her sister-in-law, Leslie Burke.

Memorial service, Tuesday, January 31, at 10:00 AM at the St. Therese Catholic Church. There will be a reception to follow the Mass at church.
