Jenny D. Taylor

61 of Aurora went to her Lord peacefully Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Born July 30, 1949 in Ashland, KY. Jenny, DeeDee as she was known by friends and family, came to Colorado at a very young age and lived most of her life in the Aurora area. DeeDee spent her last years working for an assisted living community whose staff and residents became her 2nd family. She is survived by her loving companion of 47 years Steve Krause. DeeDee leaves two sisters, Barbara Heflin of Los Angeles CA. and Anetta Essen (Curtis) of Arroyo Grande, CA. Her daughter Karen McCollum (Verl) and sons Austin, Benjamin, Sean, and Kyle. Her son Steve "Mike" Krause (Danelle) and their son Connor Michael. Her God Daughter Veronica Lee Sandoval (Dustin) and their daughter Sabrina. Nephews Jesse Heflin, Nathan Essen (Sarah), Eric Essen (Erin), and Kasandra Abdul-Shakoor (Raghib). 5 Great Nephews and 1 Great Niece. As a loving wife, companion, sister, aunt, great-aunt, caregiver, and friend DeeDee lived every day with a fierce love of family. You touched so many with your humor for life, your sheer strength, and your desire to give us more than you ever expected in return. You will be missed dearly.
