Jeremy Michael Perea, born on November 24, 1975, in Alamosa, Colorado, left this world on December 28, 2025, in Arvada, Colorado. He was a beloved son, devoted brother, cherished uncle, and respected friend whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.
Jeremy dedicated 14 years of his life to bartending at Los Dos Potrillos before transitioning to maintenance work at an assisted living facility. His commitment to his work was evident, as he was honored as employee of the year in 2025 for his outstanding contributions. He was not just a worker; he was a community member who cared deeply about those around him. A testament to his character, when the maintenance worker at his apartment complex left, Jeremy selflessly took it upon himself to mow all the lawns, demonstrating his big heart and commitment to service.
Educated at Columbine High School, Jeremy brought an infectious spirit wherever he went. He was fun-loving and mischievous but grounded by his deep faith in the Lord. He had an innate ability to connect with others, forming bonds that will live on in the memories of his family and friends.
His love for adventure was evident in his passion for riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and enjoying motocross alongside his brother, Stephan. These hobbies were not just pastimes for Jeremy; they were expressions of his zest for life, and every ride was filled with laughter and camaraderie.
Jeremy was a respectful and caring son, leaving a lasting impression on his family.
Jeremy is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Trujillo, and stepfather, Luis Trujillo; his father, Michael Perea, and stepmother, Beverly Cordova; daughter, Hannah; his dear brothers, Stephan Perea and Rhett Trujillo. He is also survived by his sisters, Stephanie Perea (Cara Waswick), Brittney Abeyta (Michael), Ashley Perea, Kayli Trujillo and Victoria Gifford. His legacy continues through his beloved nieces, Jewel Perea, Mikayla Abeyta, Myla Abeyta, and nephews Makai and Makoa Abeyta, as well as his great niece, Jade Song. Jeremy is further remembered by his aunts, Sharon Roybal, Denise McDowell, Brenda Perea, and cousins, Nicole Perea and Michelle Perea.
Jeremy was predeceased by his cherished grandparents, Joe and Sylvia Roybal and Joe and Mary Anne Perea, along with his Uncle Richard Perea, Aunt Deborah Trujillo and cousins, Cami Beachler, Joseph Hoagland and Richard Olivas. Their memories remain entwined with his, as he navigated life with the love and teachings they instilled in him.
As we remember Jeremy Michael Perea, let us celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and a kind spirit. His legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and genuine connection, reminding us all to cherish each moment and care for one another. Though he may departed from this earthly realm, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
