Jerome V. "Jerry" Whisler, 88, of Denver, passed away September 2, 2017.
He was born June 10, 1929 in Newton, Kansas, the son of Daniel and Mildred (Vincent) Whisler.
He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, KS in 1947 . He graduated with his Bachelor's Degree from University of Colorado - Boulder in 1951.
On January 14, 1950, he married Judy Brown.
Jerry honorably served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Square Halos Square Dance Club.
Jerry loved to read and go square dancing. He was interested in using his computer. Jerry took many walks at his home in the mountains and also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Judy.
Jerome is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Judy Whisler; niece, Marsha (Bill) Abbott; two nephews, Randall (Iletta) Hutchison and Robert (Michele) Hutchison; 4 great-nieces; 1 great-nephew; and several cousins and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by father, Daniel Howard Whisler; mother, Mildred Eunice Whisler and sister, Roberta Hutchison.
