Jerry appreciated, art and music. His extensive show of his custom art work shows his talent was beyond words or definition. His favorite band Steely Dan provided the soundtrack to his life. He appreciated vintage and antiques items and took great pride in his lunchbox collection that numbered into the hundreds.
A veteran, he bravely served our country in the U.S. Navy as a field medic with two of those years stationed in the Phillipines Islands at the Subic Bay Naval Hospital. A time that he remembered with fondness and treasured the memories he had of that time in his life.
Upon returning to civilian life, Jerry worked as a mechanic, sign designer and producer, hair model for print advertising, oil delivery truck driver and Union Ironworker. He retired after 20 years of service from Qwest/CenturyLink. His work history also included a stint at Beren's Steakhouse where he would prepare salads, pizzas and wash dishes at the tender age of 10. He worked side by side with his sister and partner in crime, Cindy as she worked there as an 11 year old waitress.
Jerry was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, in-law and sibling. He met his wife in December of 1979 and in 1982 they began creating the family he cherished. The joy of his life was his family with the love and laughter that they brought him. He will be missed beyond measure, but he will be remembered for his generous heart, wicked sense of humor, love of life, expressive laugh and those unforgettable green eyes.
