Jerry Lee Cavender

July 20, 1964 — April 25, 2016

Jerry Lee Cavender, the son of James F and MaryAnn (James) Cavender was born July 20, 1964 in Lawrence KS. He passed away at University Hospital Aurora Co April 25, 2016. He was 51 yrs old.

Jerry was the youngest of 3 children. He moved to Ottawa KS from Lawrence with his family and attended his grade school years there. He then moved with his family to Watkins Co where he attended Bennett schools.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator for most of his adult life. He was most proud of the fact he and Kris played a big part in the making of the runways at D.I.A. On his time off his one passion was fishing and his boat. Many a time Kris showed him how it was done, fishing that is. He loved people, animals and the outdoors along with the Colorado Avalanche. Jerry never met a stranger and was always there with a helping hand. He was rough as a cob and with a heart as soft as a feather. He will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his parents Jim and MaryAnn, his soul mate and the love of his life Kris Neville Cavender, sister Jody Rogers and husband Kenny, brother Sam Cavender and wife Karen, 4 children Brittnee, John, Kori and Michael, 5 grand children Hunter, Micah, Justice, Kayleigh, Kaylynn. Nephews and nieces, Jerrod, Jessica, Jace, Christy, JimBob.
