Jess B. Adams, 77, of Aurora, passed away December 8, 2017.
He was born January 11, 1940 in Idaho Springs, Colorado, the son of Jess and Grace (Ashton) Adams.
He was a graduate of South High School where he played football. He attended Denver University.
On October 10, 1964, he married Karolyn Walter.
Jess was a member of the NRA and was a former President of the Aurora Gun Club. At the Gun Club, he was one of the first members and was so involved that he has a target competition named in his honor. He was also a facility manager at CORA for many years.
Jess was a gun enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Jess was a tinkerer and would fix anyone's cars if necessary. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was the go-to man for Math homework. He was friendly and had a great sense of humor. He was well-known for his catch-phrases such as "Crazier than a pet raccoon." He loved fast cars, owning 3 corvettes over his lifetime. Jess loved big dogs and owned Huskies, Chows, and Mastiffs during his life.
Jess is survived by Son, Jeffrey B. (Pauline) Adams; Daughter, Laura L. (Nick) Walden; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; Sister, Donna Adams; many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends which he considered family.
He is preceded in death by Wife, Karolyn Adams; Daughter, Debra "Debbie" D. Adams; Mother, Grace Adams; Father, Jess B. Adams and Brother, John Adams.
