Jim A. Caldwell , 85, of Englewood, passed away August 20, 2015.
He was born July 22, 1930 in Vermillion, South Dakota, the son of Donald and Eleanor (Sullivan) Caldwell. He was a graduate of Central High School in Sioux Falls. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business at Columbia College in Denver. On January 9, 1955 he married Jo Hagemeyer.
He was an honorably discharged veteran of the Korean War where he served in the U.S. Air Force and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Jim loved to read and travel. He was a business owner, entrepreneur and Master Machinist, but humbly referred to himself as a "modern-day blacksmith."
In addition to his wife of 60 years, Jo Caldwell, Jim is survived by Two Daughters, Kris (Richard) Dobbins, Brenda (Jimmy) Scott; Two Sons, Steve (Debbie) Caldwell, John (Cheri) Caldwell; Ten Grandchildren, Janice (Jake) Dobbins-Ruiz, Sean (Trisha) Scott, Brett (Christina) Scott, Stephanie (Rogelio) Guerra, Ryan (Amanda) Caldwell, Ashley Caldwell, Carrie Caldwell, Jennifer Caldwell, Zachary Caldwell, Steven Hanners; Four Great-Grandchildren, Dakota Scott, Emily Scott, Grace Scott, Ivan Scott; Brother, Robert (Lue) Caldwell; One nephew, Cliff and one niece, Debbie.
He is preceded in death by Father, Donald A. Caldwell, Mother, Eleanor M. Caldwell, Great-Grandchild, Curtis Scott.
