Jo Lynn (Jones) Fletcher, 73, of Wheat Ridge, CO, passed away December 18, 2016.
She was born in Clovis, New Mexico on August 22, 1943 to William Russell Jones and Josephine (Mahill) Jones.
She graduated high school in Ordway, Colorado in 1961. She attended Southern Colorado State College in Pueblo and earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in English in 1965. While attending College, she met her husband, Fred B Fletcher Jr.
She was a Teacher and Substitute Teacher for many years, while her children Burl and Sandra were under school age children. After that, she had many other occupations while her children were in school. Finally, she finished the last 20 years of her career at JCPenney, which she always considered to be her Second Family.
Jo Lynn loved her family and friends very much. She always made sure all around her were taken care of and well fed. She was a fabulous cook! She loved her Elvis Memorabilia and was able to see him in Las Vegas earlier this year and loved the kiss that he placed on her cheek. She also had a frog collection like no other.
She always could make everyone smile around her with her funny sense of humor and laugh. She will be dearly missed by all who got the chance to know and love her.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Fletcher Jr.; son, Fred "Burl" Fletcher III; Daughter, Sandra (Fletcher) Dodson; Grandson, Coby Dodson; Sister, Carol Jones McGhee;, Brother-In-Law, John McGhee; Sister-in-Law, Daphne Jones; Sister-In-Law, Barbara Fletcher Hoel; Brother-In-Law Robert Hoel, and many Great Uncles, Great Aunts, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and her two loving cats, Jake and Scooby.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Russell Jones; Mother, Josephine Jones and Brother, Russell Ward Jones.
