Joan Mustard
October 24, 1931 — February 7, 2013
Joan Mustard (Peton), the daughter of Theodore and Elizabeth ( Bondhus ) Peton was born Oct.24, 1931 in Graettinger Iowa, and departed this life at Aurora Care Center in Aurora, Colorado on Thursday Feb.7, at the age of 81 years.
Joan enjoyed refinishing furniture, laughing over coffee with friends, spending time with family, especially when her sons and grandsons were young boys. She attended school in Gruver, Iowa and played basketball on the HS team with her sisters. She worked as a waitress and housekeeper in Iowa and Colorado. She was good natured and always ready to help a neighbor or friend.
Mrs. Mustard is survived by her two sons, Craig Lancaster and his wife Donna of Granite Falls,Washington, Brad Lancaster and his wife Penny of Aurora, Colorado. Two sisters, Fern Ruppel and her husband Harold of Parker, Colorado, Jean Origer and her husband Mark of Northglenn Colorado,three grandsons Gordon Lancaster, Chris Lancaster and Royal Lancaster, one granddaughter Abby Tress and seven great- grandchildren, Molly, Colton, Chloe, Tanner, Jackson, Ryland, and Britton.
Joan was preceded in death by her sister Doris McKay and grandson Lucas Lancaster.
