JoAnn Marie Peak
59 of Aurora went home peacefully to the Lord on Monday, June 6, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Born December 16, 1951 at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital JoAnn lived her entire life in Aurora teaching children and caring for her aging parents. She is preceded in death by her mother Audrey Marie Friesen and her step-father Frank John Friesen. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years Roy. JoAnn leaves an uncle, Gayle Baker (Sue) Aurora, two sisters, Susan LaRose (Dan) of Council Bluffs Iowa, Carol Ann Rickard (David) of Aurora and one brother, Greg Sanders (Shari) of Aurora. She had no children of her own but devoted her life to her two nieces (Stephanie and Rebecca Rickard), four nephews (Ken, Dan, Randy and Anthony LaRose), six great nieces (Felicia Rickard, Kaylene, Jayden, Londyn Megan and Emma LaRose), and six great nephews (Justin Rickard, Kyler, McKayd, Keldon, Dillon and Greyson LaRose). As a loving wife, niece, sister, aunt, great aunt, teacher, caregiver and friend JoAnn lived every day of her life in the service of our Lord and will be missed by one and all.
As a member of Tower Community Fellowship (1800 South Tower Road, Aurora, CO) a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made to The Denver Hospice in JoAnn's name: 501 So.
