Joanne M. Gesink, 55, of Denver, passed away February 21, 2017.

She was born March 23, 1961 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Englebert and Rise (Messner) Gesink.

She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1979.

Above all, Joanne will be remembered as a devoted mother. She cherished the time that she spent with her children.

She will be missed by the students and co-workers at Lincoln Elementary.

Joanne is survived by Three Children, Jacqueline M. Hill, Jesse J. Buettner and Kathryn A. Ryan; Mother, Rise (Bill) Schoening; Four Sisters, Diana (Tom) Dargen, Leslie (Brian) Daly, Laura Fells and Susan (Duane) Morris; Brother, Mark Fells; Five Nephews, Jacob (Malia) Williams, John (Krissy Nemeth) Stearns, Liam Dargen, Hayden Fells, and Joseph Diemer; Six Nieces, Madelyn (Dan) Tillman, Marie Daly, Emma Dargen, Taylor Fells, Jennifer Bicket and Sara Diemer; and Many aunts, uncles, extended family members and close friends.

She is preceded in death by father, Englebert J. Gesink.
