JOHN ANDREW NEWMAN "Johnny" (Age 83)

Of Aurora, Colorado, formerly of Fort Foote, Maryland passed away on March 4, 2015 peacefully at home.

Funeral services will be held on March 16, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, Aurora, Colorado, with Father Hector Ciapa­ Villarreal, officiating.

Burial will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.

John was born in Fort Foote, Maryland. He attended Douglas High School in Upper Marl­ boro, MD. After graduation, he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force where he met his wife Martha (while both where on active duty in Wiesbaden, Germany). He was decorated for his service in Viet Nam and retired after more than 20 years. After retiring from the u.s. Air Force, John continued with another career with the u. S. Postal Service for a combined total of more than 40 years of
government service. He loved his wife, friends, and vintage automobiles. Together he and Martha traveled extensively throughout the United States.

In addition to his loving wife, Martha, of 43 years, John is survived by one brother,Harold 'Buddy" Newman (wife: Darnella) of Laurel, MD, two sisters; Mary Helen Swann of Upper Marlboro, MD,Frances Bernette Harley of Glen­ dale, CA, one
sister-in-law; Patsy Sara Newman of Elkridge, MD; five brothers-in-law: John Cessna (wife: Sharon) of Punxsutawney, PA, Wayne Cessna (wife Mary-Ann) of Indiana, PA, David Cessna (wife Saq) of Petersburg, VA, Andrew "Jimmy" Cessna (wife Suzie) of Shelocta, PA., and Raymond Cessna (wife Joan) of Clarion,PA.,and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents William A. and Magdalene Swann Newman, two brothers, Joseph Earl and James "Jamie" William Newman, three sisters; Mary Lorena Savoy, Margaret Theresa Walls, and Elizabeth Haze) Savoy.
