John passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012 in Thornton, Colorado. He was born on April 29, 1931 in Denver, CO to Benito and Eloisa Garcia.

He is survived by his wife of 57 1/2 years, Loretta; children, Audrey M. Zubia, Beverly A. (Ken) Gallegos, George M. Garcia, John R. Garcia, Carol L. (John) Perez, Philip L. Garcia, and Juan M. (Danielle) Garcia; grandchildren: Maria (Troy), April, Desiree (Adrian), Anthony, Brittany, BreAnne, Destynee, Nicole, Johnnie (Alicia), Philicia (Albert), Robin, PJ, Jacob; great-grandchildren: Desmond, Gabriella (Michael), Dominic, Rudy, Larissa, Marcus, Leah, Dannimarie, Gary, Allie Hope, Jade, Alexandria, Izaiah, Gabriel, Alivia, Alberto; sisters, Mary Vega, Isabell Martinez, and Josie Leger; and mother-in-law, Rafelita Duran; and several loving relatives and friends.

He loved his guitars, scratch tickets, bingo and trips to the hill. John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Attended Baker Elementary, graduated from Assumption Catholic School. Retired from the Air Force Finance Center.
