Survived by his wife, Sara Broberg, who he was married to for 56 years, his children, David Broberg of Aurora, Colorado, Lisa Broberg Pate of Murphy, Texas, and Susie Broberg of Los Angeles, California and his grandchildren, Ashlan Pate, Bailee Pate, and Caly Pate.

Preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Emma Broberg, and his brother, Norman Jr. Broberg.

John grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from Colorado Springs High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for four years. While in the Air Force, he received the National Defense Service Medal - Good Conduct Medal 1906th AAC5RON. He spent the rest of his working years with the Federal Aviation Administration in Denver and seven years in Anchorage, Alaska. He retired after 42 years of service as a federal employee.

John was a charter member of Faith Presbyterian Church Aurora serving as an Elder and Deacon for many years.

John belonged to several stamp clubs in Aurora and Denver, focusing his collection on Alaskan and postal history stamps.

He was loved by many and will be missed immensely by all that knew him.
