John K. Brown, 100, of Aurora, passed away February 7, 2017.

He was born August 19, 1916 in Christy Township, Illinois, the son of Raleigh and Martha (Welton) Brown. On August 31, 1939 he married Veda Havill, of Lawrence County, Illinois.

John is survived by his daughter, Cynda (Paul) Eichhorn; three grandchildren, Melody (Mark Sublette) Eichhorn-Sublette, Douglas (Nicole Villa) Eichhorn, and Philip (Tracy Swibas) Eichhorn; six great-grandchildren, Bryce Eichhorn, Matlynn Aguirre, Caeden Aguirre, Catherine Sublette, Jackie Sublette, and Maddy Sublette; and multiple nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Veda H. Brown; sons, David John Brown and Jimmie K. Brown; parents, Raleigh and Martha Brown; and eight siblings, Raleigh Ira Brown, Marvin Lafayette Brown, Estace Ray Brown, Mary Della Fullilove, Anna Irene Brown, Martha Eliza Laughlin, Marjorie Maria King, and Clara Mahala Brown.
