John C. Jones

75, of Strasburg, CO, Passed away at his home. John retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. One of his passions was serving on the Strasburg Fire and Rescue Department for 20 years. He was known for his BINGO calling at Strasburg Turkey Shoot for many years, his expertise came in handy with his sound and equipment knowledge. He was also a member of the Strasburg American Legion.

John is preceded in death by his wife, Sue (Tangeman)and daughter Joleen Wright.

He is survived by his daughter, Jody and husband Trent McCain of Colby, KS, grandsons; Justin and Jared Engel, granddaughter, Joselyn McCain, brothers; Bill Jones, Paul Jones (Jan), brother-in-law, Lee Tangeman (Karen) and sister-in-laws; Sandy Rarick (Bernard) and Laurel Tangeman, seven nephews, seven nieces and special friend Anne Rea.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM,Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Strasburg Community Church, viewing one hour prior. Interment will follow at Byers Cemetery.
