John David "Bullet" Vieyra, age 58 of Denver, Colorado passed peacefully on July 1, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 19, 1952 in North Platte, NE to John L. and Carmen (Reyes) Vieyra also of North Platte, NE.
Bullet's greatest love was for his family; and particularly his great-nephew John John whom he took care of the first two years of his life; and all his many cousins and friends.
He is survived by his parents, siblings: Sharon Vieyra of Lafayette, CO; Delilah Sandoval of Northglenn, CO; Mark (Theresa) of North Platte; Karen Vieyra of North Platte; Diana (Orlando) Martinez of Westminster, CO; Carol Alvarez of Deming, NM; and Veronica Vieyra of North Platte, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bullet lived life to the fullest and was an inspiration to many. He enjoyed playing jokes and making people laugh. He was the life of the party. He enjoyed traveling, calling daily and visiting family and friends near and far.
He enjoyed listening to golden oldies music, enjoyed taking pictures and videos to capture life's moments and enjoyed helping many friends and family in every way he could. Bullet was a very selfless devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
His greatest passion was golfing and enjoyed watching his nieces and nephews playing sports. He enjoyed sponsoring and coaching "Los Machos" softball team while living in Nebraska.
Bullet is greatly missed by his family and everyone's heart that he touched.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to his memorial fund at the services.
Memorial service was held at St. Patrick Catholic Church 415 N Chestnut St.,North Platte, Nebraska. On Friday, July 22, 9:30 a.m. with a reception. Funeral arrangements were made by the Newcomer Funeral Homes & Crematory in Lakewood, Colorado.
