John L. Flores passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 73.
Born on January 27, 1953 in Guadalajara, Mexico to his parents Jesús and Bernadina Flores who have welcomed him with open arms in heaven. John graduated from Central High School in Pueblo, Colorado in 1972. John then headed to the University of Colorado Boulder for a short time before deciding to enroll in the Navy. He then would come back to Pueblo, CO to marry his soulmate and love of his life Rosina Flores in 1977. This year of 2026 marked their 49th Wedding Anniversary which they got to enjoy one last time on this earth.
John would later move back with his family to San Diego, CA where he would retire from the Navy. John and his family then moved to Aurora, CO in 1989. He later found a job at the United States Postal Service where he worked for 28 years. He truly loved his job. He was a hard and dedicated worker. Of course he didn't want to retire from the USPS but his body told him otherwise.
Johns hobbies were one in many. It is what made his life fun and memorable. He loved soccer, karate, watching movies, dancing, going to church, shopping with his grand kids, and most importantly loved his Denver Broncos.
One thing about John was he was a quiet and reserved man. Little did many know that he was very observant of his surroundings and was a very good listener. His wife was the outgoing social butterfly and its true that opposites attract. John all in all was a very loving, caring, and accepting man. His heart was pure and loved his wife, family, and the Lord. He was interested in all forms of religion and it all led to him finding himself comfortable with the Lord. He never feared death because he knew where he was going and found peace. Knowing one day we will all be together again.
Proceeded in death of his first born son Jonathan Flores and leaving behind his two sons Paul Flores (James Osieczanek), James Flores (Lillie Flores), and grandchildren Sophia, Emily, and Xavier Flores. John's siblings of the late Jesse Flores, Carmen Castruita, and surviving brothers Art and Danny Flores.
As family and friends mourn Johns death, they also honor the life he lived and the presence he brought to others. May John L. Flores be remembered in peace.
