John J. Stolpmann, 68, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away with family at his side Monday, May 21, 2012.
Born on November 22, 1943 in Potsdam, Germany, he was the second of two children to Hans and Brigitte (Titze) Stolpmann. Immigrating to Canada with his family in 1955, he met his wife of 44 years, Alida Westra. Later immigrating to the United States in 1969, he and Alida created their own business and raised their family in Denver, Colorado.
A devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, John was survived by his wife, Alida; two sons, David (Jennifer), and Kevin (Christina); five grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Jordan, Luke, and Melanie; and brother, Kent (Luna).
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, May 25, 2012 at Foothills Bible Church, 6100 South Devinney Way, Littleton, CO 80127.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in John's name (www.heart.org).
