John Julius Wehrli

January 27, 1946 — October 11, 2014

John Julius Wehrli, 68, of Lakewood, passed away October 11, 2014.

John was born January 27, 1946 in Logan, Iowa. He spent his first 12 years in Beebeetown, Iowa and moved to Colorado in 1958. He attended Wheat Ridge High School. He married Patricia McNamara in 1966. She passed away in January 1991. He met LuJean in July 1991.

John was employed mostly in the construction trade in a variety of jobs. He built fiberglass housing on the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. He worked on the Jefferson County Court House (Taj Mahal)and on DIA. He worked approximately 20 years at Eastwood Printing. He also was a volunteer Fireman for Arvada Fire District from 1975 through 1986.

John is survived by his wife, LuJean J. Costello, son, John Patrick Wehrli; daughter, Lisa Renee Wehrli; step-son, Brian J. Lacey; step-daughter, Deanna Jean Lacey; two brothers, Albert Wehrli and Forrest Hiller; three sisters, Emma Driver, Laura Ronfeldt and Tonya Bridge; grandson, John Patrick Wehrli, Jr.; granddaughter, Tabitha Wehrli; step-granddaughters, Kalista Kay Lacey and Sarah Sparr; step-grandson, Derek Woolley; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emil Rudolph Werhrli, mother, Edna Irene Wehrli, a brother, Emil Wehrli and a sister, Merna Garret.

Reception to follow services at 13349 W. Alameda #401, Lakewood.
