John Robert Lewis, 33, of Denver, passed away February 12, 2015.
He was born May 26, 1981 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Robert Lewis and Roberta (Webb) Hoffarth. John started school in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 1986 he moved to Denver with his mom. During his years at Sheridan High School, he lettered in band, choir, track, and drama. He was involved in the student council. He was voted best actor and best supporting actor by his peers. After graduating high school, John enjoyed working in retail until his debilitating accident in 2004. Even after his accident, John remained light spirited and always loved a good joke.
John loved to dance, sing, and make the most of every moment with his friends and family.
John is survived by his parents, Robert Lewis and Roberta Hoffarth; brothers and sisters, LeeAnn Hoffarth, Jesse (Brittany Kern) Macku, Christina Zurn-Marsh, Jeremiah Baker; nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his step-father, Donald Hoffarth and grandparents.
A graveside service will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park, in Lincoln, Nebraska on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 3pm. The family will have a memorial service in Denver at a later date, please visit website for updated information.
