John Yarmeak, 58, of Aurora, passed away on November 11, 2016 at 6:05 pm.
He was born May 4, 1958 in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, the son of Joseph and Marjorie (Skrabut) Yarmeak. He moved to Cecil, Pennsylvania and lived there for his childhood. He graduated from Canon-McMillan High School in 1976.
John is survived by his children, John Alan Yarmeak, Benjamin Joseph Yarmeak, and Megan Marie Yarmeak; grandson, John Alan Berling; father, Joseph Yarmeak Sr.; cousin, Lynn Yarmeak brother, Joseph Yarmeak, Jr.; four sisters, Andi (Mark) Kulbacki, Mechelle Siders, Barbara Yarmeak, Susan Hindman; two sisters-in-laws, Gerianne (Greg) Buschy, Gabrielle (Patrick) Esser; nephew, James Alsop; and numerous other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Yarmeak and his uncle, Michael Yarmeak, many other aunts and uncles, and a cousin.
He moved to Aurora, Colorado at the age of 21 with nothing but a bag on his back. John got married in his late 20's and had three kids; John Alan, Benjamin Joseph, and Megan Marie, and divorced in 2010. He became both the father and mother figure to his kids. His kids were his pride and joy of his life, aside from his house, his business, his vehicles, and the rest of his family.
Living in Colorado, he started working with Tech Towing and eventually became the sole owner and driver for Tech Towing. He had his love of restoring old cars, spending his free time going to car shows and swap meets. John loved his job and he took so much pride in to what he did for a living.
He was one of the good guys. He would never ask for anything in return and would help anybody out in a heartbeat. Now the Angel that John is, can now take the vacation he always wanted.
In honor of his memory and his love for the many animals that he rescued, memorial contributions may be made to The Denver Dumb Friends League at http://www.ddfl.org/memorial-or-tribute/.
Memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 190 Potomac Street Aurora, CO 80011 at 4:00pm on Sunday, December 4, 2016.
