He attended elementary school at Mother Lode Christian and Mother Lode Adventist and attended Summerville High (1998-99), PS1 Charter School in Denver (1999-2001), and Columbia College Culinary and Pastry Arts (2009) where he received a certificate in professional food service. Born in Fontana, he lived in Stockton (1984-1989), Sonora (1989-98, 2009), spent a year in San Francisco (2008), and Denver (1998-2007, 2009-2017).
Jon will be missed by his dear friends in Denver: Ira Logan, Phil & Holly Blankenship, Jackson & Amy Browning, Ronnie & Lo-Lo Wahl, Richard Villers, Tonia Magness, Doug Abt, Neil Coon, and Jimmi Hanson, among others, as well as his faithful dog Axel. Friends and family remember Jon as an excellent cook and artist, who loved to snowboard, surf, camp and spend time with his friends and family. A celebration of Jon's life will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 3:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home located at 901 S Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80226. Reception to follow service.
