Joni Kurland, 54, of Greenwood Village, passed away April 29, 2016 of natural causes, in the comfort of her home.
She was born April 18, 1962 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Gene and Debra (Bush) Kurland. She was a graduate of Westminster High School.
Joni is survived by her husband, Jim Lyall, daughter, Jessica Pankoff; three sisters, Judy (Scott) Seifert, Candy (Scott) James, Fran (Sarah) Kurland and her puppy, Chevy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Debra Kurland.
Joni followed in her father's footsteps and entered the car business at a very young age, where she found great success and accomplished much throughout her career.
She was beautiful inside and out and had a heart of gold. She was full of sincerity, happiness and love and would do anything for anyone at any moment. Joni was truly one-of-a-kind and her vibrant and warming personality touched all those she met.
Her daughter and only child, Jessica was the love of her life. Joni's favorite and most precious moments were the times they spent together. Her and Jessica were lucky to have spent her last weekend doing everything they enjoyed and sharing their bond that is forever untouchable.
Joni found peace being in the presence of nature and wildlife and her love for animals was greater than ever imaginable.
For this reason, we are asking that Memorial contributions be made to The Wildlife Sanctuary in Joni's name at https://www.classy.org/checkout/donation?eid=43357 .
