Jose Lopez, 71, of Lakewood, passed away on Sunday August 18, 2013. He was born October 23, 1941, in Valdez, Colorado the son of Steve and Maria Lopez.
Jose is survived by his wife of 29 years Elia Lopez; sons Derrick Lopez and John Sackett, daughters Valerie (husband, Tom) Cattany; Shelbie (husband, Jimmy) Paul; Yvonne (husband, Nick) Garcia. Also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Joe loved to travel, golf, paint, draw, and coached miniature football. He spent as much time as he could with family and friends. Joe had good virtues and strong religious beliefs. He will be extremely missed by all those who knew him.
