Jose Tircio Cordova , 89, of Denver, passed away November 19, 2016.
He was born July 20, 1927 in Taos, New Mexico, the son of Juan and Eulogia (Mandonado) Cordova.
On July 17, 1954 he married Rose Ellen Martinez in Taos, New Mexico.
Jose honorably served in the US Army, attaining the rank of Private First Class.
He later retired from Electron Corporation.
Jose was a member of St. Cajetan Catholic Church.
Jose loved to dance. He also liked to play his harmonica. He used to love riding his bicycle, riding around Sloan's Lake to keep in shape. Jose also loved to go to the lake with Rose to feed the ducks. He enjoyed taking his children to Stapleton Airport when they were little to watch the planes take-off and land. Jose also looked forward to his trips to Juarez, Mexico, Albuquerque, NM and Taos, NM. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed giving candy to the young children at the apartment complex where he lived.
Jose is survived by Four Daughters, Mary Ann (Teresa Arias) Rico, Alice (Don) Sedillo, Patsy (Jose M. ) Banuelos and Annette (Alvin) Craine; Four Sons, Tom (Kathy) Cordova, Jose "Joe" Jr. Cordova, Floyd (Deborah) Cordova and Lloyd Cordova; Adopted Son, Jose G. Cordova; 19 Grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren with many on the way; Brother, Herman (Stella) Cordova; Sister, Flossie Miera, and Many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Rose E. Cordova; Parents, Juan F. and Eulogia Cordova and brothers and sisters, Armando, Herman, Flossy, Ernestina,Amelia and Viola .
