Jose Manuel Gallegos Jr.

Jose Manuel Gallegos Jr., 62, of Englewood, Colorado, received his Angel wings on August 25, 2026.

Jose was born on February 15, 1964, in Denver, Colorado, to Mary C. Martinez and Jose Manuel Gallegos Sr.

Jose was truly the life of the party and the glue that held his family together. He had a big heart, a generous spirit, and was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. He had a way of bringing people together, making them laugh, and making everyone around him feel like family.

Jose worked as a maintenance supervisor, a career that suited his hardworking nature and his willingness to help others. He was deeply loved and respected by his coworkers, vendors, and residents, many of whom became much more than people he simply worked with.

Outside of work, Jose loved spending time with the people he loved most. He was a devoted Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed fishing, bowling, tailgating, family game nights, and simply being surrounded by family and friends. Whether he was cheering on the Broncos, telling stories, making everyone laugh, or enjoying a family gathering, Jose knew how to make ordinary moments memorable.

Above everything else, Jose loved his family. He was a beloved Husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His presence was larger than life, and the love, laughter, and memories he gave his family will continue to live on through all those who knew and loved him.

Jose is survived by his mother, Mary Martinez, and his loving wife BriAnne Medina; Mother in law Monica Medina; brother in law Adrian Medina; sisters Dani Jones (Byron); Tammy Apodaca (Michael); his children Joshua Gallegos; Jacob Valdez (Jenny); Jeanelle Meyer (Joel); Savannah Medina (Gabe) his grandchildren Joshua Gallegos Jr.; Dominic Gallegos; Cristianna Gallegos; Beckham Meyer; Penelope Meyer; Nathaniel Valdez; his nephews Antonio Apodaca (Eslin); Michael Apodaca (Ivone); Aaron Paiz; Jesus Sanchez; Luciano Apodaca; his nieces Valene Sanchez; Celina Jones; Dani Apodaca; Sophia Apodaca.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Manuel Gallegos Sr.; his niece, Amber Apodaca; and his beloved Chiquita.

Services

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Newcomer.

Services will continue on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at All Saints Church, with a viewing from 9:30–10:30 a.m., followed by the Rosary from 10:30–11:00 a.m. and Mass from 11:00–12:00 PM.

A Celebration of Life will follow.

In honor of Jose and his love for the Denver Broncos, family and friends are encouraged to wear Broncos colors in place of traditional funeral attire.

Jose's passing leaves an immeasurable hole in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for his generosity, his laughter, his love for his family, and the way he could bring people together. The party will never quite be the same without him, but the love and memories he gave us will remain forever.
