Joseph Manuel Soto, 64, of Denver, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016.
Joe was born to the late Jess and Eleanor Soto. Joe attended Annunciation High School and graduated from East High School both of Denver.
Joe began working at St. Joseph's Hospital of Denver early on in his life and eventually became the Head Chef. He loved working there and made great friends which he still has to this day. Unfortunately his career ended earlier than expected due to a disease he fought his way through. After recovering, he then began working as a security guard at National Jewish Hospital of Denver. Again, he made such wonderful friends there who were a big part of his life.
Joe was passionate about the city and state he grew up in, loving history of all types including the Wild West days. He loved food, trying out all of the new restaurants and attending all of the local festivals Denver had to offer. Joe could always be counted on to let you know where all of the haunted places were or to tell a good ghost story.
Joe is survived by two daughters: Andrea Soto of Denver and Erica Becker of Centennial. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Jess and Eleanor Soto, and brothers Anthony and Jesse Soto.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested in his memory to St. Joseph's Hospital, 1375 East 19th Avenue, Denver, CO 800218 (303) 812-2000, http://www.saintjosephdenver.org/about/foundation/ways-to-give/.
