Josephine Grace "Jodi" Moran , 84, of Lakewood, passed away in our home surrounded by her loving family on July 12, 2015. She was born at home during a blizzard on May 19, 1931 in Arvada, Colorado, the daughter of Joseph and Mildred (Barry) Miller. She was a graduate of Arvada High School where she played the clarinet in the band among other activities. On November 25, 1950 she married the love of her life, Raymond Moran.
Josephine is survived by Two Daughters, Lori R.(Dennis) Danek, Vicki L. (Gary) Pearson; Four Grandchildren, Brad (Jamie) Danek, David (Gwen) Danek, Amy (Ryan) Larson, Logan (Paul Woodward) Pearson; Seven Great-Grandchildren, Aidan Danek, Harper Danek, Benjamin Danek, Maxton Danek, Keelan Woodward, Amaya Hamada, Bryson Hamada.
Ray and Jo owned The Rectory, a Christian Bookstore, in Cinderella City and Villa Italia for fifteen years. Jo enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, helping animals, gardening, cooking, dancing, traveling, and family. She was known for her elaborate cake decorating. She was an active member of the Jaycee's for years and served as Vice-President of the Jaycee-ettes. She was also a Campfire Girl Leader for 12 years for both of her daughter's. She received the President's Club Award at Foley's for several consecutive years during her time of employment.
